The main objectives of this study are to define and describe the concepts of culture and proverbs and to find their interrelation, to compare the proverbs of the English/American, Moldovan/Romanian and Russian cultures, taking into account the dimension of time and the type of culture established by the dimension of time and to analyze the means that enclose the concept of temporality. The most important research methods employed in this work are the structural and contrastive approaches, and synthesis.  We have considered this topic in a previous article discussed at one of the conferences at MSU (2012) and it was of great interest to the listeners. In this version of the research presentation we use a different approach for analysis and include the proverbs that bear temporal value in the Russian culture as well.  The relevance is presented as being related to the everyday usage of proverbs and their constant alterations. The investigation of this topic is also relevant to the study of foreign languages and the cultural characteristics of each people studied.
