Rezumat

În articol sunt prezentate rezultatele investigaţiilor privind îmbunătăţirea producerii de seminţe la hibrizii simpli de porumb timpuriu, utilizând ca formă maternă o linie consangvinizată mai productivă, încrucişări înrudite A x A1 şi retroîncrucișări (A xA1) x A. Încrucişările înrudite din grupa heterotică Reid Iodent, cu valori ale indicelui de diversitate genetică cuprinse între 30 şi 60%, s-au caracterizat prin plante viguroase şi productive, germinaţie înaltă a seminţelor la temperaturi joase şi dimensiuni ale boabelor încadrate în fracţiile comerciale. Cei mai buni hibrizi (A xA1) x B au fost apropiaţi de hibrizii simpli după productivitate şi uniformitate. Un neajuns esenţial al retroîncrucişărilor s-a constatat a fi variaţia mai mare a caracterelor fenotipice şi sistemul de producere a seminţei mai complicat.

The article presents the results of investigations concerning the improvement of seed production in early maize single cross hybrids using as female parent a more productive inbred line, related crosses A x A1 and backcrosses (A x A1) x A. The related crosses from Reid Iodent heterotic group, with the genetic diversity index values comprised between 30 and 60%, were more vigorous and productive, possessed higher cold germination and saleable size of seeds. The performance and uniformity of the best hybrids (A x A1) x B were close to those of single cross hybrids. An essential disadvantage of the backcrosses was the greater variation of phenotypical traits and more complicated system of seed production.
