Rezumat

Phraseological units present difficulties in translation. These difficulties are of three types: syntactic, lexical and terminological. Phraseological units dominate practically in all spheres of human life not only in the colloquial style but also in marketing, business, banking, commerce, literature, journalism. In the above-mentioned specific domains they serve as terms. People use phraseological units for different reasons.  Our article is dedicated mainly to the terminological difficulty as phraseological units (terminological ones) are considered as such from the point of view of machine translation according to S. D. Beresnev. Many phraseological units are borrowed from common English into Business English which in the process of secondary nomination acquire a new meaning presenting difficulties in translation.  We have analysed 30 phraseological units classified according to Koonin's classification into nominal, verbal, prepositional et al. and gave their translation into Russian.
