Rezumat

The lexico-semantic repercussions include pleonasm and tautology. They can be treated as stylistic procedures in certain contexts. Unfortunately, they also appear as errors that are less grammatical but are very common in the lexicon, an area where changes occur much faster.  As the DEX states, pleonasm is the use of words, constructions, sentences with the same meaning, the second word being usually covered by the meaning of the first. This deliberate resumption of terms is sometimes a highly expressive stylistic process by which writers and publicists create images of an obvious artistic effect. In such situations, pleonasm amplifies expression without adding any meaning, but giving it more suggestive power.  Accumulating as many examples as possible to illustrate the frequency and diversity of pleonastic expressions confirms that our language in its daily manifestations is very vulnerable in terms of fairness.  It is appreciated that the press tends to avoid these mistakes of expression, using in some situations, for expressive and emotional purposes, the pleonastic achievements.
