The frequency of preterm births in pregnant women with diabetes in the Republic of Moldova remains constantly high, 53.5% (130) being pregnant compared to the control group, where premature births were only 7.2% (18 pregnancies) (TLC: 22.1893-57.4276, X2 = 13.490, p = 0.0002). The rate of cesarean section in pregnant women with DM remains rather high, in our research it was 70.8%, compared to the control group where the frequency of cesarean surgery was 26.0% (CI: 36.2740 -52.5535, X2 = 98.872, p & lt; 0.0001). In patients with type I DM, caesarean section was performed 1.3 times more frequently than in pregnant women with Type II DM and gestational diabetes. Conclusions: diabetes mellitus has a considerable impact on the term and the mode of delivery. The frequency of preterm induced birth and cesarean section in pregnant with DM in our country remains high. |
