The primary causes of lower limbs amputations are largely determined by peripheral vascular pathologies (including diabetic). Because of this pathologies affect more and more socially active people, therapeutic conduct must be complex and multidisciplinary. According to World Health Organization instructions, pacient assessment for lower limb amputation should not be focused only on segmentation damage. Addressing the structural weaknesses in light of all aspects of human life: habitual functional capabilities, educational and professional of theese pacients will be enable a more effective social reintegration of theese pacients. Adapting to amputation require functional and psicho-emotional reorganization of the patient and his life environment. Analysis of this multidimensional process can be examined by applying the scales of life quality assessment. Testing the quality of life in people who have undergone amputations of limbs must be focused on physical, functional and mental health, with level of involvement in social life. According to sources analysis in evaluating the life quality of patients with amputations of lower limbs, the effective scale have proved to be the specific versus generic. |
