The author of the article, based on the analysis of scientific points of view of scholars, has studied theoretical approaches to the interpretation of the term of "interaction". The author's vision on the essence of the concept of “interaction between local self-governments and law enforcement agencies” has been provided. Own vision of the features of such an interaction has been offered. It has been emphasized that the characteristics of the interaction of local self-governments with law enforcement agencies are due to the fact that the activities of these bodies have a different focus, that is, their tasks and responsibilities do not match in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

В статье на основе анализа различных взглядов ученых исследованы теоретические подходы к толкованию понятия «взаимодействие». Предоставлено авторское видение сущности понятия «взаимодействие органов местного самоуправления с правоохранительными органами». Предложено собственное видение особенностей такого взаимодействия. Отмечено, что особенности взаимодействия органов местного самоуправления с правоохранительными органами связаны с тем, что деятельность указанных органов имеет разную направленность, то есть их задачи и функции, в соответствии с действующим законодательством Украины, не совпадают.
