The protein-1 chemoattractant monocyte (MCP-1) levels in urine in 65 children with primary glomerulonephritis (GN) at different clinical evolutional stages of the disease was studied. MCP-1 concentrations in the urine of the patients with nephrotic syndrome (SN) steroid-sensitive and SN steroid-resistant during clinical manifestations and in remission period exceeded of 2.0 - 2.4 times the values of the control group. In chronic glomerulonephritis (CNG) nephrotic form and CNG mixed form during the clinical manifestations period the concentration of MCP-1 in urine exceeded 3.0 and, respectively, 8.5 times the level of this index compared with the control group and 1.8 to 3 5 times compared to the period of remission. Determination of urinary concentrations of MCP-1 may be useful as a predictive non-invasive method for predicting disease activity and monitoring of the evolution of different forms of GN and for the development of effective differentiated therapeutic strategies in these patients. |
