Rezumat

Elaboration of appropriate conceptual framework of understanding and awareness of new realities marked by the phenomenon of globalization becomes an imperative of the time. Political Science needs a theoretical and methodological renovation in order to respond to the new risks and vulnerabilities. The concept of a political market represents, at the current stage, one of the newest and most perspective theoretico-methodological approaches in the process of creation of new political phenomena. Strongly linked to the rational choice theory, borrowing the paradigm of political market from the methodological tool set of the economics, it represents a theoretical construction with an original explanatory and applicative potential. With this approach, the democratic political system is identified as a market mechanism, which executes a function of coordination, balancing and solving of multiple interests from a society, often found in conflict. The market paradigm can serve as a proper setting for the usage of the most relevant approaches and methods of scientifical understanding and explaining of the political phenomenon.
