This article analyzes the reflections of Alexandru Boldur, lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Petrograd, on the issue of autonomy of Bessarabia, after the collapse of the Tsarist autocracy in February 1917. Examining several articles written by Alexandru Boldur in the press of the time, in Petrograd and in Chisinau, the author admits that these could be the first writings dedicated to Romanian history of the future historian of Bessarabia, which shows that Boldur had a broad horizon and a vast historiographical culture.
