Rezumat

Nicolae Dabija is known in the literary world of Romania as a modern, brave poet, a major essayist, a balanced and objective historiographer. In 2012 he published a novel of love and fight for truth “Homework” highly appreciated by the literary criticism of Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, etc. In 2015 there appears the French version of the given novel “Devoir à rendre” at the published house “Editions Société des Ecrivains de Paris” (translator: Maria Augustina Hancu in collaboration with Constantin Frosin). Till now we don’t have any attitude towards this translation. The literary text, especially the fictional one always reveals large diversity of the world. Dabija’s romantic text is not an exception: he quotes, imitates, integrates dozens of models and types of texts. How they were translated? The text of Dabija’s novel emphasizes the poetical function of the language: proper names, complex games at the phonetic level, colorful stylistic devices and rhetorical tropes which are harmoniously combined and used in such a way that doesn’t affect the novel aspect. How are these stylistic devices translated? We tried to answer at least partially at these questions being based on the Translation of the belle-letters texts which represent a relative popular discipline among the French and Moldovan universities.
