„Oricum ai defini critica, utilitatea ei este nulă…”. Notiţe polemice Criticul, ca şi creatorul, parcurge acelaşi drum. Dar din părți diferite. Autorul porneşte de la spiritual spre material (de la concepție la realizarea ei). Criticul porneşte de la forma materială a operei spre perceperea conținutului său spiritual. În ambele cazuri este necesară o energie creatoare. De aceea, un critic talentat se întâlneşte la fel de rar ca un artist talentat. În același timp, puțini autori îşi exprimă recunoștința față de critici. Poate că este un fel de răzbunare pentru aceeaşi atitudine faţă de autor sau poate o dorință excesivă de a fi renumit şi bogat? În ultimul timp, studiul artelor este înlocuit aproape exclusiv de jurnalism. Prin urmare, nu e nevoie să căutăm anumite corelații între operele examinate şi recenziile contemporane, care trebuie tratate ca un gen separat al literaturii. Noile studii critice pot fi citite cu interes, dar nu oferă imaginea obiectivă a valorii artistice a operei în cauză. Dar, poate critica teatrală contemporană are rolul unui imagemaker și creatorul are nevoie de ea? Poate că ea îndeplinește un rol educațional? Întrebările rămân deschise...

„No matter how criticism is defined, its usefulness is nil…”. Polemic notes Both the critic and the creator go the same way, but from different sides. The author starts from the spiritual to the material (from conception to its embodiment). The critic starts from the material form of the work to the comprehension of its spiritual content. In both cases, creative energy is required. Therefore, a talented critic is as rare as a talented artist is. At the same time, few authors express their gratitude to the critics. Perhaps, it is a kind of payback for the same attitude towards the author or, maybe, the immoderate desire for fame and profit. Recently, the study of arts is almost entirely replaced by journalism. There is no need to look for correlations between the examined works and the contemporary reviews, which should be treated as a separate genre of literature. The new critical studies can be read with interest, but they do not offer an objective picture of the artistic value of the work in question. But, maybe, the contemporary theatrical criticism serves the role of an image-maker and the creator needs it? Perhaps it fulfils an educational role? The questions remain open.
