It is suggested, in the paper, one of the possible models of the so-called homo socioeconomicus, which can be used as an epistemological premises in certain social-philosophical studies. A brief description of one well-known epistemological models of homo economicus is provided. By synthesizing information, fragmented encountered in the literature, an epistemological model of homo sociologicus is formed. Based on a comparative analysis of the aforesaid models and their generalizations, it is concluded, that there should be at the base of the general model of the homo socioeconomicus an assumption about arbitrary mod of action of the individual that in any situation, studied by social sciences, can act as a rational and an irrational being.
