The aim of this investigation is to find out and compare the ways Ukrainian and Russian newspapers represent Ukraine to choose its vector of integration – the European or the Russian one. As an empirical base it takes articles of eight newspapers (four Ukrainian and four Russian) for the period of full year 2013. The research includes two stages: comparing the frequency those media refer to the topic, and revealing meanings which prevail in its covering through the analysis of the headings of the articles. Data show that every newspaper highly prefer this theme to present UkrainianRussian relations, though in each country they make different emphasizes while interpreting the problem.
