L’oeuvre du grand poète roumain Mihai Eminescu a toujours bénéficié d’une exégèse critique et linguistique d’envergure. Cet article est consacré à l’étude de la nature dans la création poétique de Mihai Eminescu par la méthode statistique lexicale pour souligner la valeur exceptionnelle et son rôle décisif dans la cristallisation de la langue poétique roumaine. L’analyse statistique peut identifier les tendances générales du fonctionnement du lexique, les idées de réception thématique, la formulation des conclusions argumentées et non-intuitives et à l’élaboration des dictionnaires de la langue poétique d’Eminescu. Cette méthode reflétant la précision mathématique doit être complétée par une étude littéraire des motifs romantiques qui tournent autour du thème de la nature dans les poésies du poète. On constate l’impossibilité d’isoler sa poésie du contexte du romantisme européen. Par son oeuvre, le poète roumain apporte une contribution originale au romantisme universel. Quelles que soient les méthodes utilisées pour étudier le thème de la nature dans la poésie d’Eminescu, on peut faire une seule conclusion: Mihai Eminescu reste, par sa passion et le charme de son art, un grand romantique, le dernier grand poète du romantisme européen.

The work of the great Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu has always benefited from a critical and linguistic exegesis of large dimensions. This article is devoted to the study of nature in Eminescu’s poetic creation applying the lexical statistic method in order to emphasize its exceptional value and decisive role in the process of crystallization of the Romanian language. Statistical analysis can identify the general tendencies within the lexical functioning, the ideas of thematic receptions, formulating argumentative and non-intuitive conclusions, and in elaborating dictionaries of Eminescu’s poetical language. Reflecting the mathematical accuracy, this method should be completed with a literary study characterized by romantic motives, which focuses on the theme of nature in the poet’s poems. There is an impossibility to isolate Eminescu’s poetry from the European Romanticism. Through his work, the Romanian poet brings an original contribution to the European Romanticism. Regardless of the methods we used to study the theme of nature in Eminescu’s poetry, we can make one conclusion: Mihai Eminescu represents a great romantic, his art being characterized by passion and charm, and he is the last great poet of the European Romanticism.
