Rezumat

The government of Great Britain, led by the Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, developed and implemented in 1979-1990 an economic model of the free market competition of the Laissezfaire, which in a consequence was named an Anglo-Saxon model. The policy of conservatives, dominated by economic liberalism in the democratic world with focus of economic policy of the government on the free market as the universal mechanism on revival and development of competitive economy is used in its fundament. Privatization of the large, strategic enterprises, reducing of the financial help to public industries with an unsatisfactory management, reduction of tax pressure for stimulation of capital investments, introduction by the monetary system based on the doctrine of Milton Friedman allowed to reduce considerably inflation and to revitalize economy. In addition, many state institutions, all branch ministries were abolished and the state noninterference policy in the economy was realized, which in literature received the name “revolution of the minimum state”. In the conclusion of the article on the basis of the official statistical data the author considered formatting outlines of developing socially -focused market economy in the Republic of Moldova.
