Present article describes the main groups of natural hazards on the global level (geological, geomorphologic, climatic, hydrological) and analyze their impact on the environment and society. Authors mention from the very beginning that one of the most dangerous tendencies for our Ages is the increasing of frequency, intensity, and damages of the natural hazards, supplying long data range on this concret subject. According to this situation and for the purpose of society aware of, authors analyze the most important hazards from the groups mentioned above, which can destroy anytime natural balance of the environment and society (taking human lives). Also the article describes the main natural hazards and synthesizes the amplitude and frequency of some aspects. The distructive effects of hazards are disscussed as well, with indications on the methods of their forecasting and monitoring. Through this theme authors offer their modest contribution in the process of society aware of the risks they can be exposed during each day.
