Polyunsaturated fatty acids (eicosapentaenoic and arachidonic acids) are investigated for the use of it in food and
pharmaceutical industries. Microalgae Porphyridium cruentum CNM-AR-01 strain is one of the potential sources of polyunsaturated fatty acids. Some complex compounds of Zn(II) with amino acids have been used as chemical stimulators for polyunsaturated fatty acids biosynthesis. |
