One of the most important problems in modern political science and present social and political (internal or international) issues is to determinate the role of the army as the role of a national security institution. Moldovan National Army represents one of the most significant institutions strongholds of the national security system. This is why the reform aimed to improve National Army will consolidate and optimize implicitly the system of national security. This infers the research and the analysis of the notions, conceptions, methodology, theories regarding the problems, perspectives and correlation between the National Army reform and the national security. These two phenomenas are definitive for this research and they will be analyzed both particularly and in correlation. This article also contains studies, analyses and descriptions of the army’s role in Moldova's security system establishment and consolidation. Also it is emphasized the National Armies role in the process of Moldovan states independence and sovereignty foundation. There are analyzed the threats and risks of Moldovan security and also the counteraction means offered by the National Army are examined. Simultaneously, the necessity and the impact of an army reform on the security system of the Republic of Moldova are examined.
