Countries face many threats and challenges in modern international relations. To all this is added the confrontation of global players in terms of realizing their political interests in different regions. Consequently, they artificially create new hotbeds of tension, their modernization and transformation. At the end of the twentieth century, the end of the Cold War was followed by the collapse of the Soviet Union. As a result of this fact, 15 sovereign states appeared on the world political map. However, the disintegration process did not end there. Within these new countries, the ongoing political processes in the late 1980s and early 1990s have created fertile ground for “certain forces.” In the polytechnic regions, long-time “mines” have been detonated. As a result, hotspots have emerged in the post-Soviet space, in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, and now Ukraine. All this affects not only these countries, but also the regional and global dimension of security. The study of the paper focuses on the Transnistrian political conflict, the international dimension with its regional security dimension in case of the Black Sea Region. The geopolitical transformations of the Transnistrian political conflict in the context of the Russian-Ukrainian political crisis are also discussed. As well as the likelihood of geopolitical rebirth in the context of new trends in the development of the system of international relations. Once again, strategic approaches to the settlement of the Transnistrian political conflict and ways to resolve them are discussed within the framework of Eurasian geopolitics. |
