The continuous approach to the problems of social cohesion is most often related to the need to clarify the meaning of this concept, which does not have an unanimously recognized defi nition, but a different treatment, dictated by various aspects of life at different levels. However, due to its many connotations, the idea of social cohesion is associated with the well-being society as a whole. Given this trend, we propose within this study, to analyze the concept of social cohesion by relating it to social welfare by correlating the indicators that express them. This kind of opposition makes it possible to establish the “part-to-whole” relationship between two concepts, or to clarify them in the light of mutual “guarantee”.
