The author of the article presents to the attention of readers a number of icons from the collections of the National Museum of History of Moldova, which once adorned the interiors of churches, including those in Bessarabia. These icons, created in the period from the end of the 18th century to the beginning of the 20th century, are fragments of iconostases painted by professional and amateur icon painters. Icons painted mainly in tempera on wood differ in style, colors, method of processing and decoration of the wood panel, but at the same time they retain the iconographic features characteristic of the era in which they were created. Based on the pictorial manner, we can talk about several schools of icon painting – Moldavian, Russian and Bessarabian, the works are made in folk and academic styles. From the multitude of these objects, icons of the row of holy prophets and apostles, the Deesis composition, icons of the Deesis row, icons from the Holy Doors stand out. Two sets of five and two medium-sized icons are probably parts of portable iconostases that could be used in mobile churches. This assumption is confirmed by the identical shape of the icons, their size, fastening rings along the upper edge, as well as a significant thickness for greater strength. The museum conservation of these fragments of the iconostases in the collection of the National Museum of History of Moldova made it possible to save them from destruction and preserve them to this day as testimonies of Orthodox art and culture.

Автор статьи представляет вниманию читателей ряд икон из фондов Национального музея истории Молдовы, которые когда-то украшали интерьеры церквей, в том числе бессарабских. Эти иконы, созданные в период с конца XVIII по начало XX века, представляют собой фрагменты иконостасов, расписанных профессиональными художниками-иконописцами и любителями. Иконы, написанные преимущественно темперой по дереву, отличаются по стилю, колористическим достоинствам, способу обработки и оформления доски, но при этом сохраняют иконографические особенности, характерные для той эпохи, в которую они были созданы. Судя по живописной манере, мы можем говорить о нескольких школах иконописи – молдавской, русской и бессарабской, произведения выполнены в народном и академическом стилях. Из множества этих предметов выделяются иконы ряда святых пророков и апостолов, деисусной композиции, иконы праздничного ряда, иконы на Царское врата. Два набора из пяти и двух икон средних размеров, вероятно, являются частями переносных иконостасов, которые могли использоваться в походных церквях. Это предположение подтверждается одинаковой формой икон, их малыми размерами, крепёжными кольцами по верхнему краю, а также значительной толщиной для большей прочности. Музейная консервация этих фрагментов иконостасов в собрании Национального музея истории Молдовы позволила спасти их от разрушения и сохранить до наших дней в качестве материальных свидетельств православного искусства и культуры.
