One of the key elements of the foreign policy of the Republic of Moldova in the energy field should refer to its attribution as thirdparty in transit routes of energy resources and power of the European Union. This will conduct to increase of the probability for long-term investments made in existing energy infrastructure networks and support tothe perspective of their strengthening. The recovery of biomass potential is at initial phase.Currently, the primary legislation on the use of renewable energy resources is developed and partially harmonized with European Union legislation.The legislation in question contains predominantly general provisions.Further, a set of laws to regulate all activities in this field needsto be developed.
