После провозглашения независимости Республика Молдова стала участником международных отношений. Правовые рамки международных отношений Республики Молдова основываются на положения международных договоров, соглашений и конвенций, участником которых является Республика Молдова, и внутригосударственных актов, содержащие нормы определяющие внешние функции государства, порядок заключения, исполнения и денонсации международных договоров. Главное место в правовой основе международных отношений Республика Молдова занимает Устав ООН.

After its Declaration of Independence, the Republic of Moldova became an active participant at many international relations. The legal framework of Moldova`s international relations is based on the provisions of international treaties, agreements and conventions that Moldova signed, as well as on the norms of internal legal acts establishing the external functions of the State, and the order of signature, realization and denunciation of international treaties. The central place in the legal framework of Moldova`s international relations is playing the Charter of the United Nations.
