Rezumat

The study Relations between the prince and the boyars (XIV-XV). Interpretations of the official documents’ syntagm "...and of his children" is an attempt of coming up with various interpretations of the formula which periodically appears in official documents issued by the Chancellery of Moldovan State, including the frequently encountered phrase "... and of his children". Following the investigation the author reaches the conclusion that in the process of rivalries for occupying and maintaining the throne, prince on one hand and boyars on the other hand reached a compromise which was ensuring the lord with faithfulness and stability, and boyars as well as their descendants were going to be provided by a membership in the princely counsel and in high state functions. To such a compromise with the boyars came Alexander the Good (1400-1432) and his successors to the throne, as well as Stephen the Great (1457-1504), in a complicated period of his reign (1468-1470).
