Revenues from import duties to the national budget represent an important flow of monetary resources for many countries, also for the Republic of Moldova. The main purpose of this study is to assess the interdependence between customs duty revenue in the national budget and the standard of living of the population (The Quality of Life Index, Human Development Index). The study of this type of revenue source is important for regulating the structure of the public budget. The comparative analysis with the budget structure of other countries offers the possibility to establish the correlation between the revenues from customs duties in the national budget and the living standard of the population of the Republic of Moldova.

Veniturile din taxe de import în bugetul național reprezintă un flux important de resurse monetare pentru multe țări, inclusiv pentru Republica Moldova. Scopul principal al acestui studiu este evaluarea interdependenței dintre veniturile de la taxele vamale în bugetul național și nivelul de trai al populației (Indicele Calității Vieții, Indicele Dezvoltării Umane). Cercetarea acestei surse de venituri este importantă pentru reglarea structurii bugetului public. Analiza comparativă cu structura bugetului altor țări oferă posibilitatea de a estima interdependenței dintre veniturile de la taxele vamale în bugetul național și nivelul de trai al populației din Republica Moldova.
