Rezumat

The UN Security Council adopted ten resolutions meant to develop and apply meaningful mechanisms to implement and oversee the Women, Peace and Security Agenda. The Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security represents the first time that gender has been mainstreamed in the armed conflict and security side of the UN. The issue on women participation in peace and security processes en appears to be highly topical not only internationally, at the level of NATO, EU, and other organizations, but also in the institutions of the security sector at the national level. In general, the international framework have determined Republic of Moldova to integrate aspects of the Women, Pease and Security Agenda into policies of the security sector. Respectively, in this article is presented the international and national framework that ensures the implementation of the Women, Pease and Security Agenda in the Republic of Moldova.
