The paper presents a study on the formation of leaf surface in new varieties of apple, Granny Smith, Gala Buckeye Simmons, Golden Delicious Reinders, Red Velox in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova, organized in the experimental orchard of LLC "Prodcar". It has been established that the leaf area has increased depending on the age of the trees, but it depends significantly on the biological characteristics of the varieties. During the period of growth and fruiting, we can conclude that the trees with the Golden Delicious Reinders and Fuji Kiku varieties had the highest values.The plantations with the Granny Smith (control) and Golden Delicious Reinders varieties stand out by forming a larger leaf area compared to the Gala Buckeye Simmons and Red Velox varieties. In the 4th year of vegetation, the varieties studied formed the greatest photosynthetic potential. The Gala Buckeye Simmons, Granny Smith (control) and Golden Delicious Reinders varieties form a larger leaf area (31122-34515 m2 / ha) compared to the Red Velox variety (18408 m2 / ha). |
