Background. Sjogren's syndrome is an autoimmune condition that affects the lacrimal and salivary glands. It causes inflammation of these glands as well as other tissues in the body. This disease is often accompanied by other conditions. Objective of the study. Finding the features of Sjogren's syndrome associated with Meige syndrome in a patient who was treated in hospital. Material and Methods. Anamnestic, clinical, paraclinical data and interdisciplinary collaboration were taken from the medical file. The patient was investigated by biological evaluation (rheumatoid factor, Ac. Anti SS-A, Ac. Anti SS-B, Anti-CCP, ANA, Ca serum, alkaline phosphotase, Schirmer test, osteodensitometry - DEXA. The literature was studied on similar cases. Results. A 60-year-old woman was admitted to the arthrology department, Republican Clinical Hospital with periodic arthralgias, change in smell and taste, blurred vision, photophobia, dry eyes/mouth with burning sensation, difficulty speaking, chewing and swallowing food, digestive problems, vaginal dryness, fatigue, paresthesias. Patient for several years with joint pain, frequent blinking from youth, with intensification in the last 5-6 years. The patient was registered with the neurologist with the diagnosis -focal dystonia, Sm Meige. Biological/imaging investigations confirm the diagnosis of Sjoren syndrome, osteoporosis. Conclusion. Sjogren's syndrome - autoimmune exocrinopathy with progressive evolution, promising prognosis. Morality rate - 1.15%. Interdisciplinary consultations, biological evaluations play an important role. Dry eye is the common cause of Meige and Sjogren's syndrome |
