The paper presents results of establishing efficiency and possibilities for replacement in rations of suckling piglets under the age of 21 days of mixed prestarter fodder with that of simple accustoming fodder. It was established that additional feeding of suckling piglets in this period is required only to accustom piglets to consume, while the amount of food consumed by a piglet is quite small, with an average of 557g and 585g in the control group and the experimental group respectively. In the experiment, the nutritional needs of piglets were largely satisfied with sows’ mother milk, thus breastfeeding ability of sows was 51.5 kg in the control group and 53.9 kg in the experimental group. Weight gain of piglets in the conditions of relatively early weaning (28 days) was 6.19 kg and 6.59 kg in corresponding lots. |
