In the article are addressed issues pertaining to social philosophy influence on socio-humanistic sciences at the actual stage of a knowledge-based society. It is noted that the philosophy of general orientation scholars offer a panoramic vision of the postmodern society which offers them the possibility of researching major issues facing the society at the beginning of the Millennium. The author argues that a possible contribution of the philosopher over the existence of social scientists is to show that the individualistic approach, although it is more certain than the holist, is no less one-sided and that both must be effectively superseded by the systemic point of view. At the same time, the author argues that social philosophy plays a huge role in the development of social and humanistic sciences, offers further new visions, overall, the general process of society, contributing to the gradual deepening of knowledge of essence and form social phenomena.
