The adequate protection afforded to the creators and works created by them became, from the juridical point of view, a necessity generated by the imperative of the normal function of the act of national and universal genesis and affirmation of the scientific-cultural values. Against this background, it is absolutely mistaken the disengagement evinced by the Moldovan lawmaker when adopting the penal laws has decriminalized nearly in corpore the facts perpetrated against the intellectual property. It is required to adopt a set of laws and legislative standards in order to harmonize the national legislation in the field of the intellectual property with those ones existing in the developed western countries.
