The article outlines a portrait of Gheorghe Lazurievski (1906-1987), a prominent scientist in the
eld of chemistry, Doctor Habilitate, University professor, Corresponding Member of the Academy
of Sciences, founder of the Scienti c School of Organic and Bioorganic Chemistry, Natural and
Physiologic Active Compounds. He is the author of more than 250 scienti c works including monographs
and university manuals, owner of 8 patents for invention, supervisor of studies of 38 doctoral
theses and 10 ones of Doctor Habilitate, illustrating the Scienti c School founded by him. He is the
laureate of the State Prize in the eld of science, technology and production (1987). |
