Rezumat

The assessment of the degree of water pollution with nutrients was performed using the Algal Growth Potential Test (AGPT). It has been found that the growth potential of Scenedesmus acutus Meyen algae (test-object) correlates perfectly with the concentration of nutrients in the water of the investigated aquatic objects and can be used as an explicit method for diagnosing the degree of pollution of water bodies with nutrients. Th e role of human agglomerations in the pollution of water bodies with nutrients from punctual and diff use sources has been established. The use of the AGPT test has demonstrated the possibility of highlighting areas that are highly polluted with nutrients in aquatic ecosystems and the role of surface leakage in enriching them with nutrients.
