Background. The students’ learning activity is a continuous dynamic process and directly depend on many circumstantial factors that ensure this process. Therefore, the way the student reacts to external and internal factors largely determines his academic success. Objective of the study. To investigate the peculiarities of the learning activity of SUMPh “Nicolae Testemitanu" students in the conditions of distance learning determined by the COVID-19 epidemic. Material and Methods. 1420 students from years I-VI, faculties: Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy were interviewed. The information was collected using a questionnaire completed in Google Forms and applied online to SUMPh’s students Results. Among the difficulties encountered in distance learning conditions, students mentioned the tasks that abound at some objects (41.3%); tiring deadlines (47.6%); personal time management (38.2%); adaptation to new conditions (45.8%); preparation with the use of sources from the university library (41.3%); courses assimilation and understanding (57.7%); clarification of questions in the learning process (43.3%). Students' fears during distance learning include fear that they will not cope (49.9%); they will not be as good as the others (22.6%); will fail assessments (50.3%). Conclusion. Carrying out the learning activity in conditions of self-isolation and distance learning is a first-time challenge in our society therefore knowing the factors that influence this activity will contribute to efficiency increasing of this academic process. |
