Rezumat

The correlation with the relevant objectives and strategies for the cooperation between the educational institutions and the cultural centers represent actions of cultural promotion at national level. In this way, the chances of knowledge of culture, access to culture and diversity of cultural expressions, integration of culture in sustainable territorial development projects, stimulation of the creative economy and the presence of culture at international level increase. The paper includes the importance of cooperation between education and culture, the presentation of examples at the international level and the approach of strategies for a good functioning of the system. The strategy „learning through culture and learning for culture” is based on the synergy between education and culture. The use of the arts in transdisciplinary projects, as a way to expand and strengthen the creative approach of other subjects, thus generates a greater involvement in the learning process and better performances. That being said, we conclude that art and culture are tools for acquiring important new skills in the community and society in general.
