Rezumat | ||||||||
The second half of the 1950s was a period when the “thaw” affected all strata of Soviet society. And along with the breath of liberal winds, questions that have always been relevant for society began to be raised more and more openly and harshly: about the standard of living, the social status of citizens, national policy in the republic and much more. Party and Soviet bodies did not know how to behave and what to do in general in such a situation, and often used harsh measures to suppress dissent. Many were unhappy with the current situation, but did not know what to do. However, more and more people began to appear who more and more often saw a way out of the situation in making Moldova an independent and free country. And this predetermined the further course of events, which we will discuss in subsequent articles. |
