Rezumat

The 1980’s mark in the evolution of the Moldovan scenographic art a period of remarkable changes of the theatrical decorative art. New requirements are established for resolving the scenic place, through new means and methods of approaching the decor. The new directions in the development of theatrical art processes are determined both by the activity of scenographers from previous decades, as well as by the emergence of autochtonous artists with specialised training in the field of scenography, who are acquainted with Moldovan culture and traditions. Namely the rise of a young generation of established artists (N. Andronati, I. Puiu, A. Crivoșein, A. Jeludev, P. Balan, V. Kantor, G. Kantor-Molotov, V. Palii, N. Zabrodin, and others) favored radical changes in the steady development of Moldovan scenography and the institutionalisation of new processes for solving the scenic space and scenery. Analysing relevant performances designed by Moldovan scenographers in the 1980’s renders possible defining some common features (scenographers’ independence, the use of allegory and symbol, the application of kinetics, and others).
