Rezumat

Ion Creangă is one of the great classics of our literature, whose works were and remain a source of inspiration for people of art and culture, including the creators of audiovisual arts. Theater and film directors from the Romanian space appeal now and again to the writer’s creation, rediscovering in it new and new aspects, inherent to our times. We aim to follow chronologically the appearance of cinematographic films, created over the years by Romanian and Moldovan filmmakers, starting from the first experiments in the field of animation film of Aurel Petrescu (Capra cu trei iezi/ Goat with Three Kids, 1946) and Ion Popescu-Gopo (Punguța cu doi bani/ The Bag with Two Pennies, 1949) and finishing with the latest creations, such as the short film Goat with three kids (2019) directed by Victor Canache. It should be mentioned that these stories as well as Amintiri din copilarie/Childhood Memories attracted the most attention on behalf of film directors. The 1960s were the most fruitful in the capitalization of the Crengian works by filmmakers. And, the first animated films with puppets, made by Anton Mater, The Goat with Three Kids (1968) and The Bag with Two Pennies (1969) paved the way in the world of Moldovan animation.
