Rezumat

Abstract: The effects of electric field strength and interelectrode distance on the main parameters of boiling under conditions of electrohydrodynamic flow have been studied. It has been found that the field effect exhibits a decrease with increasing heat flux density. The optimum interelectrode distance corresponding to the most intense heat transfer has been determined. Based on visual observations and high-speed cinematography of the process, the hydrodynamic pattern of the two-phase flow has been analyzed in interrelation with the intensity of heat transfer. The calculated relationships are in good agreement with the experimental results.
