In the following article there is approached the problem of literary work interpretation from the persăective of its stilistic characteristics. It is insisted particulary on several stylistic registers of the literary work: archaic, regional, popular, cult, argot, with elements of jargon, colloquial, rhetorical, solemn, comic, parodic, ironic, playful, liturgical. The analysis, in the process of interpreting the literary work, of these stylistic pieces emphasizes, from multiple perspectives - linguistic, aesthetic, structural etc. -, the relation between the transmitter and the real world, between the writer and the fictional universe, between the linguistic and referent sign, between text and message, between speech and language. The inclusion of the students in more activities of analysis of these stylistic registers is one of the basic conditions of the hermeneutic approach and of the formation of their literary competences.
