Rezumat

Meckel Diverticulum (DM) is one of the most common abnormalities of the digestive tract, being found in about 2% of the population. The risk of complications that may occur decreases with age, and symptomatic DM in adults is a rarity. Acute abdomen in pregnant women is a real challenge, and complicated DM take part of the group of atypical pathologies in pregnancy, most commonly misdiagnosed as appendicitis. Thus, this diagnosis should be suspected in the case of acute abdomen pregnancy without conclusive clinical and paraclinical data, but in the most of cases the true diagnosis is established only intraoperatively. The treatment of choice of a symptomatic DM is the surgical one, even in pregnancy, but the tactics vary from the mini-invasive method to the traditional approach.
