A positive psychological framework within schools involves attention be paid to promoting students’ well-being. School satisfaction among students is one approach to improved their mental health and subjective well-being. The purpose of the current study was to identify factors that predict school satisfaction among Romanian adolescents. Five hundred and thirty-three high school students aged 14-19 years completed several standardized instruments. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. Data showed that the adolescents’ school satisfaction was predicted by engagement with school, perceived quality of instruction, academic self-perception, teacher support, and autonomy granted to students. Each of these factors accounted for 1.82%-12.39% of the variance in school satisfaction. Engagement with school and perceived quality of instruction were the strongest predictors. |
