The paper presents investigation on the influence of the EDS on the quality of eggs. According to the results obtained it can be noted that in cases where birds are healthy, the percentage of eggs nonstandard reach around 2%, while birds where the virus circulates in the background EDS the percentage of nonstandard eggs reaches about 5-7% and characterized by cracking the egg shell, irregular pigmentation, shell deformation. The presence of virus was determined immune background with diffuse precipitation reaction where it was established that antibody titers in blood serum was 1:1024 and 1:2048 dilutions that are characteristic for non vaccine viruse. |
