În studiu sunt prezentate unele date contemporane referitor la etiologia, patogenia artritei idiopatice juvenile (AIJ). Este argumentată ipoteza predispoziţiei genetice, rolul factorilor de mediu, hormonali, imunologici în declanşarea maladiei. Sunt detaliat arătate rolul imunităţii celulare şi umorale în perpetuarea procesului inflamator osteoarticular. De asemenea sunt demonstrate etapele procesului distructiv articular în AIJ.

The study results present contemporary data regarding the ethiology and pathogenesis of the JIA. The data confirm the hypothesis of the genetic propensity to the disease development, the role of environmental factors, hormones and immune influences in the pathology onset. Author presents in details the role of the cellular and humoral immune system on the course of the osteoarticular inflammatory process, also are shown stages of the articular destruction in JIA.
