In this article, the authors reveal the concept and main functions of court costs in civil proceedings. By performing compensatory (recovery) and preventive (preventive) functions, the institute of court expenses provides a balance of the interests of the individual, society and the state. Summarizing the practice of application by the courts of the prescriptions of the law, the subject of which are court costs in civil cases, showed that the authorities do not always comply with the legal provisions on court costs. |
