Rezumat

The generation of a space charge in low conductive liquids under the influence of an external electrostatic field is considered on the basis of the Nernst–Planck equations. It is shown that, in the case of symmetric conditions for the same electric parameters of positive and negative charge carriers, only heterocharge and homocharge distributions of the field are possible, whereas bipolar structures cannot exist. Possible ways of searching for such structures are proposed.
