This article represents an attempt to summarize and analyze the major tendencies of the international private law development in the Republic of Moldova from the doctrinal point of view as well as what concerns the state of legislative development in this domain. As a result, some conclusions concerning the future perspectives are made. In general, it is needed to mention that negative tendencies prevail because of the lack of needed attention from the legislator towards the legal technique of the international private law norms, included in the text of Civil Code. Also one of the major problems is the non‑application of these norms by courts.
