In this article I have tried to give an overview of the current understanding of the appreciation of different characteristics of the external aspect. The presented research was carried out with the questionnaire "Interpretation and evaluation of the meanings of the components of the external aspect" prepared by the russian researchers Labunskaia V. A. and Belughina E. V. The purpose of this research was to identify some people's ideas about the role that the external aspect plays and to identify the factors that affect these points of view. The main objective of the research was focused on studying how the respondents' opinions on individual constitutional characteristics were expressed, on how to present the external aspect, the correspondence of the appearance with the constructions of sex and age, the correspondence of the external aspect with the status and role and the appreciation of the general attitudes. to the physical self. The study is represented by the population of the Republic of Moldova. The sample includes persons of both sexes, several age groups, representatives of different occupations. The analysis of the data obtained was carried out in groups according to their sex and age, after which were drawn conclusions.
