Rezumat

Psychological well-being is a relatively new topic of scientific research, approached from the positions of positive psychology, a paradigm that was launched at the end of the last decade of the last century. In the psychological scientific research of the well-being, two paradigms have been asserted which, although they seem to be different, in certain points of view they have similarities. The hedonistic perspective on well-being postulates that this is identical with pleasure and happiness. The alternative eudaimonist concept conceptualizes the well-being in terms of developing personal resources for achieving higher performances, acting in accordance with the potential and experience of having purpose or meaning of life. The concept of professional satisfaction (job satisfaction) is a concept that finds explanation in the complex attitude of the person towards his/her professional activity and work place. Of course, the psychological well-being can be determined by personality factors, but also by the occupational factors - program and work environment, professional satisfaction. The workplace influences both professional satisfaction and psychological well-being. The professional life that is positively related to personal interests, abilities and values becomes a condition of job satisfaction, thus maintaining the employees' psychological well-being. Employees who share a positive attitude towards their occupation are happier and more satisfied with themselves. Those who have a negative attitude face more emotional, mental and physical problems. The results of the research presented in the present study allow us to affirm that between professional satisfaction and psychological well-being there is an interconditioning report. It can be concluded with all the conviction - that the professional satisfaction and the psychological well-being of the employees have become an essential condition of the organizational success, especially in the fields of education, health care, and others focused on the social sector. The performance in these areas ensures the social well-being and the psychological well-being of the population, which confirms the importance of the professional qualification and the socio-affective balance of the employees from the organizations that carry out activities related to the direct communication with human individuals.
